Hello everyone!
We've got several important updates to share with our Lexington League, and we're excited about what's ahead this fall. 🥎
🥎 A New Chapter for Lexington
First things first... yes, the rumors are true!
Since 2025, League Joe and LCRAC have been in partnership, with each group dividing responsibilities. This division has often led to decisions and communication issues depending on who you asked. After lengthy discussions with the park, we know that the best thing we can do is adjust towards a model where there is a single source for logistics, rules, and more.
Moving forward, League Joe will be assuming all operational responsibilities for the league while LCRAC rents the fields to us directly.
LCRAC has been a tremendous partner and, to be clear, the team there is still going to be involved. However, League Joe will now hire and provide a new onsite Commissioner for operations and to represent the voice of our players. The park will continue working with us to provide the fields and make sure umpires are ready to go. Scott will be the UIC for the league and will ensure we have umps for games, while working directly with the Commissioner to address any League Joe specific rules that need to be followed. We want to take a moment to thank them for everything they've done and for continuing to work alongside us.
But with League Joe stepping into a more hands-on role, it's also time to start a new chapter for Lexington. We've heard your feedback, we've been having conversations behind the scenes, and we're ready to start making some changes to help create a better league experience.
And that starts with someone you'll be seeing quite a bit this fall...
👋 Meet Your New Commissioner!
Please help us welcome Steven Harley as the new Lexington Commissioner!
Steven has been hired by League Joe and will be there to help keep things running smoothly at the fields, assist players throughout the season, and serve as another line of communication between the Lexington community and our team.
If you have feedback throughout the season, good or bad, we want to hear it. Steven will help make sure that information gets back to us so we can continue learning what works and where we can improve.
We're excited to have him on board, so be sure to give Steven a warm welcome as he gets his feet wet!
📅 Open Play, Draft & League Start
With these changes underway, we're also making a small adjustment to the fall timeline.
We will NOT be drafting tomorrow.
Instead, here's the new lineup:
🥎 Open Play: September 8th - event is listed on the registration page
📝 Draft: September 9th
🔥 League Starts: September 15th
This gives us a little more time to get additional players signed up while also giving Steven a chance to get settled into his new role before the season begins.
And yes, that means there's still time to bring some friends along! If you know someone who's been thinking about playing in Lexington, send them our way and let's pack this fall season.
📦 A Few Things Are Changing...
We're also starting to make some updates behind the scenes to better support the league throughout the season.
Beginning this fall, League Joe will be sending league supplies directly to Steven, including scorebooks and our very own League Joe-stamped Thunder ZN Pro Ms for league play. 🥎
It's one of the first changes you'll see as we take a more hands-on role in Lexington, but it won't be the last. We'll continue listening to feedback and looking for ways to make the league experience better as we move forward.
We're excited about this next chapter, excited to have Steven joining us, and ready to make this a great fall season.
