Greetings everyone!
We want to thank everyone who came to our Open Play and simultaneously - we owe you big apologies. Our original Commish had a work emergency that compounded upon itself and ultimately as you know - he didn’t make it to the fields. There’s no sugarcoating it - that sucked. We’re all deeply embarrassed and sorry that this was your first experience with us and we are committed to making it right.
However, we’re also excited that over 20 of you showed up - an encouraging sign! While we had a rough start here, we are still fully onboard to bringing Kenosha a fun, awesome draft league experience that we’re sure you’ll love. So here’s what we’re doing to make up for our false start, and rebuild your trust and confidence in the program.
Introducing Your New Commissioner - Robbie Babbington Robbie (the left one in the picture) is a local high school umpire and slowpitch player many of you may already know and recognize from the fields. While he previously had been unavailable due to his umpiring commitments, we were able to work things out with his schedule so he’ll be taking over our initial Spring session! |
A Smaller League Season – Fewer Weeks, Fewer Bucks, More of a Way to Try it Out
We get it – some of you are wondering if you want to commit to a full league with us, and even before the Open Play, we had heard that comment from locals who were curious but remained on the fence. We are now converting our league to a Mini-Season, which means you’ll be able to try out the draft format and see if it really works before committing to a longer season with us.
Here’s everything you need to know:
- 💸 New Price: Now just $65 for 5 weeks
- 👕 Includes a League T-Shirt
- 📅 Draft Date: Monday, the 12th
- 📍 Draft Time Coming Soon: We’ll send a follow-up email next week with the time and location

Open Play REPLAY – Next Week
To give us an extra week to rally new players into the league under the new format—and to give you the real Open Play experience we intended—next week will be an Open Play REPLAY. We’ll start at 7:30pm, and this will once again be an opportunity to get some practice swings and learn how the system works. It’s open to all interested individuals, and the official league start will now be May 13th.
