At League Joe, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable experience for all participants. By registering or participating in any League Joe event, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct.
Our Commitment
We want every player, coach, referee, spectator, and volunteer to feel welcome and respected. We are dedicated to making participation in our leagues a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.
Expected Behavior
- Treat all players, officials, and staff with respect and courtesy at all times.
- Display good sportsmanship — win graciously and accept defeat with dignity.
- Follow the decisions of referees and league officials, even when you disagree.
- Communicate concerns through proper channels — speak to a league coordinator, not on the field.
- Help maintain a clean and safe playing environment.
- Look out for the well-being of your fellow participants.
Unacceptable Behavior
The following behaviors will not be tolerated:
- Harassment or intimidation of any kind, including verbal, physical, or online.
- Discriminatory language or behavior based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic.
- Physical aggression or threatening behavior toward players, officials, or spectators.
- Excessive arguing with referees or league officials.
- Unsportsmanlike conduct, including taunting, trash talk, or deliberate rule violations.
- Use of alcohol or controlled substances on or around the playing area (unless expressly permitted by venue rules).
Consequences
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in:
- A formal warning issued by a league official
- Removal from the current game or event
- Suspension from upcoming games or events
- Permanent removal from the league without refund
League Joe reserves the right to take any action deemed appropriate to protect the safety and well-being of participants. Decisions may be appealed using our appeal process.
Reporting a Violation
If you witness or experience a violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it as soon as possible:
- During an event: Speak directly to a referee or league coordinator on-site.
- After an event: Contact your local league office or reach out to us through your league's website.
All reports will be reviewed promptly and treated with confidentiality. Retaliation against anyone who reports a violation in good faith will not be tolerated.
