The 24 hour softball tournament will be an annual event supporting the American Heart Association and is being held in partnership with the Happiness and Wellness teams and the Angie’s List Foundation. The event starts at 5pm on Friday, July 31, and continues nonstop through 5pm on Saturday, August 1, with one team being chosen as tournament champion at the end. Updates will be available on the Employee Center.
The goal is to raise $30,000 throughout this 24-hour event. At least 30 teams are needed to participate, and while team captains must be Angie’s List employees, friends and family are welcome to fill out each 10-player team roster. Each team’s goal is to raise at least $1,000 – that’s only $100 per participant. Team members are encouraged to seek sponsorships through friends, family members and local businesses. Teams can pitch tents to catch up on sleep while not playing, and like every Angie’s List event, there will be plenty of food, drinks and fun.
