When playing sports, nobody starts great at a new sport. So in today's age of digital communication and reduced contact, why is anyone surprised that it is just difficult to be social sometimes?
Our Social Drafts are built around a simple principal - some people just need a little help to break out of their shell. Fill out your Social Survey so we can help place you in a comfortable social group where you can vibe, make friends, and flex that social butterfly muscle!
Our social groups are not randomly selected. Instead, we try to use data to create groups where there are individuals from varying backgrounds with similar social goals. We cannot guarantee everyone will like each other, but we can put everyone in a place where they know there is a chance!
And just like in sports, you need a handful of stronger athletes and leaders to help fuel the team, so our already extroverted social butterflies will be spread around to help make sure each group turns into a party!
Trying to go out and socialize with strangers can often be a performative art. You spend so much time trying to figure out how other people expect you to act that you don't always act like yourself.
Answer our social surveys authentically and do not be afraid to be you! That will help our balancing team ensure you are matched with other individuals who you can find a quick connection point to show your real self.
First and foremost, let's get this out of the way....
Now with that out of the way, many of our events do happen in venues with alcohol and some may be themed around social drinking. However we welcome everybody whether your favorite beverage is a fizzy soda or a frothy mug. For many, socializing is a little easier with a drink in hand but you do you!
Look, if you are still reading this far, let's just go ahead and address the elephant in the room. You are probably lonely - like most of the planet these days. Maybe you just moved to town, maybe you just got out of a huge relationship, maybe you suffer from anxiety, maybe you are an introvert, maybe... maybe... maybe...
Look, we get it... because many of us have lived it. Social events like this is how most of us found our current friends and our tribe, and we are happy to share and spread the love. The more, the merrier, right?
Stop waffling and give it a chance. The benefits are far greater than the negatives.
