Special Events
Join us for an evening of fun as we kick off the tournament with a Meet & Greet, Bat Testing,
Home Run Derby, and Skills Challenge on Friday night.
Home Run Derby & Skills Challenge - Men's and Women's Divisions. Sign up onsite. Entry is $20 per player, per event or $35 to participate in both. $10 buybacks will be offered. Players may swing any bat for these events, but bats must pass compression within allowed limits (See below). All entries must be finalized by 9:15pm. Tournament games must be played with compression-tested USSSA 240 bats on Saturday.
Skills Challenge - Not a Home Run Hitter? Don't worry, we have the event for you.
The skills challenge rewards placement and precision over power, as you are awarded points for where the ball lands after your hit.
Place the ball all across the field to maximize your points and claim victory. Hit the 8 targets spread throughout the field to REALLY jump up your point total!
Home Run Derby - Equipment - Players must hit supplied stadium balls and pitcher must pitch from behind a protective screen. Any bat that is in good condition and not modified may be used so long as it passes within 30 points of its certification label. Males 50+ and Females 45+ may use Senior bats, which must pass at 140 compression. Bats will only be tested after a player has become the scoreboard leader and a failed bat test will result in an automatic re-swing. If players are uncertain their bat will pass, they may volunteer to get it tested in advance.

We are looking for coaches for this event! Want to join us?
Apply to CoachDraft leagues follow the popular fantasy sport format by giving coaches opportunities to draft players one after another in order to build their team. As a player, you will be entered into the draft pool and will be selected to a team the week prior to the start of the league.
All players will be asked to complete a player profile where the rank themselves on their skill set. All players should be as honest as possible to help ensure teams are balanced and league play is fun and fair. Immediately following the season, fellow players and coaches will give feedback on the players and adjustments to the players overall score will be made for future leagues.
The week before the league begins, all players are invitied to the Draft League social where the coaches formally invite players onto their team and introductions occur for the first time. This event is meant to be fun and will feature a full mock draft style setup including jerseys for draftees, a league commisioner overseeing the proceeding, plenty of adult beverages, and fun for all. Player participation is not required to play, but it is highly encouraged!
Once the teams are selected, the league play will begin with a first week formal scrimmage to help coaches meet their new players and work out roster kinks. This game will serve as a tie breaker for playoff scenarios so it does have some importance, but it also gives players and coaches an opportunity to have a fun first game with lower pressure to win. Following the initial scrimmage game, league play continues in the standard league format.
