USSSA Rules, with The Following Exceptions / Clarifications for Keeper Draft Format
- Pool Play Time Limit: 50 minutes, plus finish inning. Final inning may end in a tie
- Bracket: 55 minutes, plus finish inning. Extra innings are runner on second, one pitch.
- Championship is untimed
- Draft will be Saturday at 9am
- Teams with fewer rostered players before the draft will get extra picks at the beginning of the draft to compensate. Picks will not all be consecutive, however.
- 3 Pool then Double E
- Rosters will cap at 12. Depending on number of free agents, coaches will have option of drafting 10, 11, or 12. If free agents are left and no coaches want additional players, those free agents will be randomly placed.
- Everyone in your lineup bats
- Free Agent pick ups can't be benched on defense during pool play (this gives everyone a chance to see the new guys, and guarantees new guys get their innings)
- No defensive inning requirements once bracket starts
- Typical LJ safety rules many of you may have played before (no putouts at 1B from outfield, pitching screen) are NOT in effect. This is competitive format, and the expectation is all players are capable of playing hard and protecting themselves
- 1 Bandit Runner + 1 Pinch Runner for the Pitcher allowed
- 4 Home Runs + One Up
- Bring Your Own Balls (Anything with a Utrip Stamp Goes. Air conditioned Pro Ms available for Sale for $6 a piece)
- 2 Tested bats Per Player, Championships Retested. 220s & 240s OK
- Utrip pitching rules
