Thursday Shenanigans

From 5pm-7pm, we will have a small Happy Hour reception at the official hotel, Holiday Inn Metairie Airport. From there, anyone interested in seeing the sights in New Orleans are welcome to join us at the Royal Frenchmen in the heart of NOLA. We'll be posted up to say hello to everyone and you're in prime position to visit some of the local sights!

Friday Afternoon Mini-Draft

New this year for people who can't get enough softball in one weekend, we've added a Mini-Draft from 1pm-5pm. Four teams will battle it out for early warm up reps and bragging rights. As of the sending of this email, there were only 5 spots left open so this is your last chance to get in!

Player Kits / Bat Testing

240 bats only for this event. Bat testing and player kit pickups will begin at 5pm on Friday. Please show up to test your bat no sooner than one hour before your first game. All players are allowed to test two bats. If a bat fails, we will hold it until the end of the tournament. For player kits, your coach will be given a large sack will all team player bags inside. Inside each of your labeled bags will be your jersey and merch credit sheets if you have any credit. Please visit the Merch booth once it is fully setup to redeem your merch credit!

Home Run Derby & Pool Play Start Friday Night

All teams will have one official pool play game on Friday evening. We also will have a Home Run Derby featuring Launch 650 balls and bats/bat bags on the line for prizing. $20 buy-in with $10 one-time buy back - Sign up on site at the merch table on Friday night

Saturday Feature Game - ANYTHING BUT A BAT!

Once pool play ends, we always have a break to get the bracket ready and give the umps a breather, and this year our featured game during that timeslot will be ANYTHING BUT A BAT. The rules are simple.... you can swing anything except a bat, and you can field with anything except a glove. Best costumes and best "foreign objects used to hit a ball" will win prizes, so don't forget to pack something silly! Don't want to play? Just grab some popcorn and enjoy.... Look For the Players that GLOW

MVPs are often about the best skilled players, but we are also looking for the players who light up the tournament with their attitude, their sportsmanship, and their positivity towards the game and their fellow players. On Saturday night during our After Party at Pour House, we will honor our first official League Glo Award recipient, powered by Gameday Neons. If you would like to nominate someone during the tournament, please visit the Merch Table to learn how to do so!

Once the games are done, cap off your night with an evening of great food, good tunes, and of course good company at The Pour House. Our official League Glo Award recipient will be crowned after all the games have completed! Must be present to win, so let's see your Glo!

Park Policies

Please be respectful of the rules and policies of our host park, La Salle. They take pride in their amazing turf fields, so please do your best to keep the facility tidy.

Gate Fee: $8 Daily / $20 Weekend Pass - Cash Preferred

All gate fee admissions include a ticket for a raffle that includes prizes like bats, bat bags, merch, and more.

Personal Coolers Are Allowed in the Park

NO SEEDS OF ANY KIND. NO METAL CLEATS.
No tobacco products within the park. Designated smoking area outside field 3 in front of parking lot.

If you get to the page and it says Sold Out, please go ahead and sign up as an alternate as we will be monitoring the system for errors and incomplete payments, and assigning slots to alternates in the order they sign up.

Based on the results of our survey, we are a full go to launch our Friday afternoon mini-tournament event.  This event will be capped at 4 teams (48 total players) and will be first come, first served based on completed payments.  Did you miss the details?  You can find them in this survey here.  If you filled out the survey in advance, you'll get an hour head-start and your registration will open at 4pm EST.  Everyone else will be emailed the link to sign up at 5pm EST.  

Quick Details:
- 3gg Mini Tournament on Friday, starting around 1pm (final time TBD)
- Batters start with 2-2 count, with one courtesy foul
- $30 base fee.  For $5 additional, you can lock in your playing position.  For a $5 discount, go with the flow as a utility player and just fill in where needed

The concept of "pick your position" is new, and we think will open up opportunities for players to get comfortable with positions they may not get a chance to try in standard tourneys.  This mini-tournament format is casual and meant to be a fun warm up, so if you are not comfortable with the idea of new players getting reps in positions of traditional value, this may not be for you!
