It may be a bit muddy out there, but as of now we are still a full go to play our first official week of the summer season. If the weather worsens and games need to be cancelled, a final call will be made at around 4:30pm today. But otherwise - plan on playing!

A New Schedule Feature
Communication is the key for all teams as the season goes forward. Players often need to miss a week for various reasons, and coaches need to be aware well in advance so they can find subs. The "My Schedule" tab now allows you to not only see all upcoming games, but also indicate whether or not you can attend.

So please login and visit your My Schedule Page and if you know you must miss a week, toggle the attendance box to "Out".

Greetings all and welcome to the LeagueJoe Summer Session.  If you were drafted to a team, you should have received communication from your coach at this point so please email [email protected] if you did not.  If you are signed up as an Alternate, skip down towards the bottom of this message.  For everyone else, here's how to play tonight.

Games are at 8:00pm and 10:00pm at Midwest Sports Complex
We will begin player check-in and registration at 7:00pm under the Upper Deck in the softball clubhouse (can't miss it - it's in the middle of the softball diamonds).  There is a $3 gate fee that Midwest charges when you enter the complex.  Once you park, check-in at registration and you will be directed towards your coach and your first game.

If you have not paid, please bring cash tonight before your game.  Credit cards cannot be accepted at the park, but you CAN pay using credit cards online here:  Payment Status.

Tonight's Game is a Scrimmage and Some Roster Changes May Occur
League parity is a cornerstone of LeagueJoe and so we treat our first week as a full scrimmage.  So if you're new or returning to the game, relax!  No pressure tonight - use it as an opportunity to meet your teammates and knock off some of the rust.  Player trades are a possibility if team rebalancing is necessary, but for most your team has been set for the season.

If You Are an Alternate
Each season, we always have a handful of players who do not show up or cannot complete the season, so you still have a great opportunity to play during the summer.  As an official alternate, you may also receive calls throughout the season to join for a single night of play to fill in for missing players.  There is NO CHARGE to remain an alternate for the season unless you are permanently placed on a team.

If You Decide this Isn't For You
Nothing hurts team chemistry more than no-shows.  If you are unable to play this season for whatever reason, or you are unsure you want to play after we play tonight - no hard feelings.  Just let us know, and we'll replace you with an alternate from our list.
