This week’s challenge is the Golden Ticket Challenge. Every player who shows up gets one attempt. The goal is simple and fun. Put the ball in play fair or make contact, and you are in.

After your attempt, your ticket will go into the bucket, and you will keep your copy for the drawing. Once everyone has gone, we will draw one winning ticket from the bucket.

Everyone has equal odds. No skill advantage. Just show up and take your shot.

We will kick things off at 6:15 PM, and drafting will start at 7:00 PM so we can get games going right after.

Hey everyone!

This week’s challenge is the Base Running Gauntlet, and it is all about speed. We are separating the athletes from the “I jog to first” crowd. 😅

There will be both a women’s and men’s division, and the challenge will kick off at 6:15 PM, followed by drafting at 7:00 PM to get games going.

If you are already registered and paid, you are automatically in at no extra cost. If you are not in the league yet, come out and prove it. For $20, you will get entry into the challenge, 2 games of slowpitch that night, and a chance to try out the league before committing.

Expect a timed run, obstacles, and a fun competition to see who comes out on top. The fastest player takes it all. People can pay on site or use the link below.

Join the Challenge

Hey everyone! We are adding a fun Middle Challenge before games this week. The pitcher will throw a pitch and get out of the way, and your goal is to softly hit the ball up the middle so it comes to rest as close to second base as possible. You will get 3 swings, and the ball closest to the 2B bag wins.

We are looking to start the challenge around 6:00–6:15 PM so we can keep things moving into the draft and games at 7:00 PM. The challenge will run up until 7 while we draft teams at the same time, helping us stay on track to start games right at 7 or shortly after.

We've gotten a lot of questions and great feedback on the format change and appreciate everyone who is eager to play and win tonight!  Here's are the details and clarifications you need to know...

Are We Playing Games Tonight?

Yes. At 7pm, we'll do an on-site draft with everyone in attendance and play two (or more!) games. Everyone who comes to the fields will be included in the process.

How Do I Win a Bat?

Starting at 6:30pm, we will do a Pitching Challenge where players will all get a turn to throw pitches from the mound to try and land them in the bucket behind home plate. Each week, we'll have a different challenge!

Do I Have to Pay?

If you paid your league registration fee, you automatically get a chance to participate in the weekly challenge games - no additional cost. If you are reading this and did not complete your payment, you are welcome to join us each week. There will be a $20 participation fee for non-league members.

Can I Bring Friends?

Hell yeah, bring anyone who wants to come. They can pay Venmo or Cash on site, just have them link up with Sean to get started.

What Kind of Bats?

We have an assortment of brand new in wrapper Miken/Easton/Worth bats. The winner will get in touch with our home office and they'll share the full list and the bats will be shipped to them!  We just need 25 entries and the bat is on the prize list.  If we don't reach 25, we will have League Joe credit towards a future league.

Hey South Strand Coed! 

We are excited to see a lot of brand new faces in our new Wednesday league as most of you do not play in our other leagues.  However, registration numbers are a little low so at the moment we are looking at only two teams worth of players.  With so many new faces, we don’t want to keep you off the field so we have a new format we’re going to run:  Weekly Draft.

How it Works

If you are reading this and you are already signed up and paid - you’re good to go.  Show up each week and we’ll select a new coach and draft new teams to play up to 3 games for the night.  To encourage additional players and invite those who could not commit every week, we are also opening things up to a paid weekly play option.  Anyone who walks up will be able to pay to play for that week, plus get a chance to win a bat…

We Can Win Bats?!?!

To keep things spicy and entice players to join us on a weekly basis, we will have five special challenges where the winner of the challenge will win prizes up to and including a brand new Miken/Easton/Worth bat!  All we need is at least 25 players signed up for a given week, then we will give away a bat every week.  If we get fewer than 25, prizes will change to league credit and other swag so either way - you have a chance each week to win.

Week One Contest:  Pitching Accuracy

This one is super simple and everyone can participate… do you have what it takes to land a ball from the mound into a bucket at home plate?  If you do, you could win!  

The walk-up fee will be $20 per week, so spread the word and help us keep the games rolling!
