Greetings players!  As a condition for playing at the Pepperplex, there has always been an understanding that the youth programs receive priority.  Last season we did not have any such conflicts, and we expected conflicts this season to be rare as well. Unfortunately, field construction and other factors have resulted in youth programs playing later on Sunday than typical.  This week, another conflict means that unfortunately we have to cancel our league games this Sunday.

Next Steps & Alternative Fields

This is extremely disappointing for all and we have spent the past couple of days seeking out alternative fields for play. We had one lined up but when we went to inspect it, it was unfortunately not tended to and unsafe for play. We are now actively working with the Recreation department at New Iberia to locate additional fields to at a minimum give us an overflow space to play on when the turf fields are unavailable.

We will provide you with a formal update as soon as possible and appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these scheduling challenges.

Important announcement: there are NO softball games this Sunday… because even ballplayers have to take a timeout for Easter.

That means:

• No double plays
• No bad calls (well… at least not from umps)
• No excuses for missing games 👀

Instead, go:

• Hunt some eggs 🥚
• Eat way too much food 🍗
• Spend time with family
• Or take a well-earned nap like the Sunday league legend you are

Don’t worry—we’ll be back next week, and yes… your batting average will still be exactly where you left it 😅

Greetings players!  Unfortunately we just received word from the park that their tournament this weekend is expected to go long on their time.  Rather than delaying our games too far into the evening, we will postpone this week and adjust the schedule.
