Daren was our leadoff hitter and had the speed to turn a single into a double. He was always eager to volunteer to be a pinch runner and he was constantly pushing the bases to help secure extra runs. In the outfield, Daren’s quickness and ability to read the ball made him incredibly reliable; if there was a pop fly, nine times out of ten, he was there to make the catch. His speed was a huge asset to the team, he was consistently on time, respectful, and a true team player. I would be honored to be on the same team with him in the future.
