There are no pre-built teams here and no need to chase down eleven friends. Every player registers on their own, representing their classification rank. If you have never had a team that would take you to something like this, that stops being a barrier — you do not need one.
Teams are drafted before the first pitch, so you show up already assigned, already on a roster, and ready to play. Every team will be mixed with an array of talent from different classification levels, and new bonds with be forged on the field.
Rosters are built through the League Joe draft system, the same engine that balances thousands of drafted rosters across the country. They will intentionally balance rosters so players have the best opportunity possible to play and show off their selected top positions. Every team will have an equal shot to take home a big prize package for the weekend.
Depending on how many women register, there may be a separate female division for the event — full teams, full pool play, scouted on its own.
If the numbers do not support a full division, that does not mean you get folded in and forgotten. Women will be distributed evenly across all competing teams, and we will run a dedicated women’s showcase pool play game so the scouts get an uninterrupted look at that talent on its own terms, against each other, at full speed.
Either way, the outcome is the same: you get to show off your skills in front of the decision makers who matter.
Scouts and selection committee members from every classification level will be onsite for the event, and they are there to do exactly one thing: find players. Not to watch a friend. Not to fill an afternoon. To evaluate the talent on that field and carry names back to their programs.
This is the part that is genuinely hard to get anywhere else, at any price. You can play well for a decade in the right league and never once have a selection committee member standing behind the backstop while you hit. For one day, they are all right there.

This is a traditional draft style tournament, but the twist is we have invited coaches and scouts from all over your states to specifically come and look for new talent they can recruit for Challenge Cup opportunities and more. Many players do not have the opportunity to attend events because their team is unable to attend, and this draft gives those players a chance to stand out and show off in front of the scouts. All teams will be balanced and feature an array of players from all sanctions, and there will be a Senior division with enough eligible players.

While the draft portion of the event is coed, we know that the women’s game is built a bit differently. We don’t want you stuck playing C, 2B, or RF all day either, so we have special rules and an entire game just for you.
After pool play concludes, our female participants will get a special bonus feature game that will allow the scouts to get a good look at our female talent. While the game is an exhibition match for purposes of the tournament, the all-women games are important to make sure every lady gets a chance to show off in their favorite positions.
During the event, we also have special rules that will ensure you get some innings at your primary position when the scouts are there to see you play.

This solves the oldest problem at any showcase. Somebody likes what they saw in the fourth inning, but by Monday they cannot remember whether you were the shortstop on the blue team or the red one. With a card in their pocket, they do not have to remember anything — they scan it and your full profile is in their hand, ready for the next time they are building a roster. Hand them out all day. That is what they are for.
Every player also gets a piece of exclusive Challenge Cup gear, colored to their classification level so the scouts can read the field at a glance and know instantly what level of ball they are watching.
