Challenge Cup rosters are assembled from the playing positions you select at registration and the association (sanction) rankings you report. There is no long self-assessment to talk yourself up or down in — your classification and your positions do the work.
Players register individually and enter the draft pool using their playing positions and association classification. Those details allow rosters to be built with competitive balance in mind while giving players the opportunity to compete at the positions where they can best showcase their ability.
The USSSA Challenge Cup is one of the biggest stages in slowpitch softball. USSSA calls it the “Olympics of Slowpitch Softball”, bringing together State, Provincial and Country teams to compete for pride, their flag and Challenge Cup championships.
The annual Challenge Cup takes place across multiple weekends in January and February at the USSSA Space Coast Complex & Stadium in Viera, Florida, giving selected players the chance to compete at a professional-quality facility against talent from across the country and beyond.
Challenge Cup teams are built to represent their state, province or country. Players are not simply entering another weekend tournament — they are competing alongside other selected players while representing where they come from on a national stage.
Challenge Cup competition includes Men’s, Women’s, Mixed, Senior, International and specialty divisions, creating opportunities for players across multiple classifications and programs to compete.
